Treatment of cancer
Re: "Prostate cancer progress. The recent review on advances in the treatment of prostate cancer does not adequately capture the the significant advance that the Provenge vaccine represents for men suffering from metastatic (advanced) prostate cancer. This is the first vaccine ever approved by the FDA for the treatment of active cancer. While it is not a cure for the disease, it does offer men a safe, immune-based method to control the cancer that has spread to their bones and lymph nodes.
